6. What must be my relationship with the world after I become a Christian?
I John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.
We must understand that the world offers us nothing and we should have no allegiance to it. Only God can offer us eternal blessings.
Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
After becoming a Christian we are to get engaged in the disciple making business. In other words we are to help people make the same decision we made to follow Christ as their savior. Once we lead them to Christ than our job is to educate them on the teachings of Jesus.
